Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a sales / business development professional with a few years experience to support the sales team of a company in the design and creative sector. This will be a chance for someone starting or growing their career in sales and business development to play a key role in helping the company grow by building strong relationships with customers, supporting the sales process, and learning about the market and their services. You’ll be supported by experienced team members and encouraged to develop your skills over time.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Business Development Executive will follow up on enquiries, oversee the client database, manage administrative tasks, build relationships with new and existing customers, and contribute to marketing and sales activities to help grow the business.
Your role will involve:
Keep customer and prospect information up to date in the database (ACT)
Respond to sales enquiries by phone and email
Help maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular communication
Assist with finding new customers and business opportunities
Research the market for new show homes and developments to identify potential leads
Gather background information to help with client proposals
Stay aware of competitor activity and share useful insights with the team
Take part in team discussions on how to improve sales and marketing efforts
Assist with marketing activities
Support the preparation of sales reports and forecasts
Join weekly meetings with colleague to review work in progress and next steps
Work closely with project, operations, and design teams to meet client needs
You will be the ideal candidate due to your:
Previous experience in a business development role
Confident, friendly, and clear communicator
Organised and reliable with a good attention to detail
Eager to learn and open to feedback
Good team player who enjoys working with others
Confident using digital tools and adaptable to learning new platforms and systems
Positive and professional attitude
A valid UK driving license
