I have too many years in recruitment to mention! I started out in a generalist small agency in Birmingham before re-locating to Hampshire and finding my niche in marketing, PR and design recruitment at Talent Search. I spent a year trying out different sectors such as recruitment to recruitment and charity, but nothing beats the creative industry!

It sounds obvious, but smile and make eye contact. It’s also worth remembering you need to make sure you find the right company for you, so ask them why they enjoy working there and see if their eyes light up!

Originally from Essex, I moved down to the South Coast to go to University; after graduating from Southampton Solent University with a degree in Journalism I decided to stay local and got a job at Skandia where I stayed for a couple of years before getting the London bug! After working for a number of top financial companies I returned to work in Southampton. I was on the Talent Search database as a candidate when I was called to see if I would be interested in working for them as a consultant, that was many years ago now and the rest as they say is history!
