This is an exciting, brand new opportunity working for a well-established, growing organisation who are at the heart of making a positive impact across the country. As their new Communications Manager, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality content that showcases the organisation’s expertise, insight and impact

This is a hands-on role ideally suited to an exceptional writer, editor and storyteller. You will own the organisation's content pipeline and editorial calendar, working closely across the organisation to create compelling thought leadership, case studies, reports, digital content and campaign assets that strengthen its reputation, support marketing activity and raise their profile

Role and responsibilities:

  • Owning the organisation's editorial calendar and content pipeline

  • Creating engaging content across websites, social media, publications, newsletters, videos and other digital and print channels

  • Developing thought leadership articles, case studies, client success stories and reports

  • Working closely with stakeholders to translate complex policy, technical and commercial information into clear, engaging content

  • Leading the content element of integrated marketing campaigns that support brand awareness, stakeholder engagement and business development

  • Producing media content including press releases, commentary, opinion pieces, stakeholder briefings and key messaging

  • Ensuring consistency of tone of voice, editorial quality and brand standards across all external communications

  • Managing relationships with designers, videographers, copywriters and other external creative suppliers

  • Monitoring content performance and audience engagement

Skills and experience required:

  • Significant, demonstrable experience creating high-quality content across digital, social media, web and print channels

  • Outstanding writing, editing and storytelling skills

  • Experience developing content strategies, editorial calendars and multi-channel campaigns

  • Experience of media relations

  • Proven ability to translate complex technical or policy information into engaging content

  • Experience producing thought leadership, reports, case studies and campaign content

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence working alongside senior leaders and subject matter experts

  • Experience using CMS platforms, social media management tools, analytics and SEO best practice

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Experience managing suppliers and/or agencies
